This fundraiser supports an upcoming Permatours Bioconstruction Workshop and gathering at Kolaval, where we’ll be building an earthen dwelling from locally sourced natural materials to support the growing community there—while learning, collaborating, and celebrating life together. Kolaval is the current land-based project led by Luz Elena Morey, who designed and built the Temple where we’ll be gathering and whose healing work, leadership, and long-term commitment to community helped shape the foundation for many of the gatherings and relationships that exist here today. Kolaval could also use more support with purchasing building materials, if you'd like to contribute towards that please donate via: Kolaval Retreat Center | Support a Peaceful Sanctuary for Community and Gratitude in Chiapas
Funds raised through this event will go toward supporting the Kolaval event and what’s needed to make it happen, with a portion also contributing to Temple rental, helping sustain this space for community gatherings.
For this Imbolc gathering, we’ll begin by coming together around the fire for a hands-on biochar-making workshop, then transition into an Imbolc ritual and song circle—releasing stagnant energy and singing our prayers together. You’re warmly invited to bring instruments, medicine songs, and/or a small burnable offering to place into the fire as a symbol of releasing clutter, stagnant energy, or anything you’re ready to let go of (nontoxic wood, paper, or other plant matter only). These offerings will be fed into the biochar and returned to the soil as compost, nourishing future visions and intentions. We’ll then share a potluck meal, taking time to nourish our bodies, connect, and digest together. From this shared work and ritual, we’ll flow into an ecstatic dance journey and sound bath, closing the day with movement, rest, and connection in a grounded, celebratory container.
This gathering is also a birthday celebration, held in the spirit of community and shared support.
You’re welcome to come dance, celebrate, and contribute—or, if you’re not able to attend but feel connected to Permatours’ work or to Luz Elena’s ongoing projects, to offer a donation. If you’d like to make a tax-deductible donation, please do so via one of the options below:
